ZAMBIA
2007 Game Ranch hunting
affordable
zambia - Sable, Kudu, Eland, Kafue Lechwe, Defassa
Waterbuck, Puku, Oribi
Our
Zambian game ranch hunting is your perfect
opportunity to bag these sought-after species
as an add on to your classical safari hunting OR
to plan an entire hunt over say 7 to 10 days.
The
first ranch, Chaminuka is set on
over 10,000 acres and was the very first game ranch
started in Zambia, initially intended as a private
family game reserve it has now developed into one
of Zambia's top 5 star lodges & best hunting
ranch.
The
ranch has the most variety and numbers of game per
acre than anywhere else in Zambia. Hunting with
both rifle and bow is permitted and the animals
are quite at ease with both vehicles and people
on foot.
The
hunting habitat is indigenous Miombo woodland -
these savanna expanses being typical of Zambia.
In addition, the ranch has a natural series of large
lakes which span about 3 miles
Accommodation
at the ranch is either in the 5 star luxury lodge
with all modern services and amenities OR in the
isolated very typical Zambian safari bush camp.
This camp is set away from the lodge and is very
secluded.
We
are very excited about the second ranch
we have recently gained hunting rights to. Set on
over 6000 acres of dense bushveld and limestone
outcrops, the ranch, Mzimbili has
been the private family reserve of Arne and Emily
Luring and has been mostly unhunted except for family
and occasional friends.
The
populations of greater Kudu, Livingstone's Eland,
Sable, Hartbeest and Puku are the best I have seen
in Zambia, even better than in some of the hunting
concessions.
The
ranch is ideally suited to walk and stalk hunting
due to the dense vegetation and will make an excellent
bowhunting venue for these prime species.
Accommodation
is in luxurious limestone clad chalets and are fully
serviced and staffed and well appointed next to
a natural waterhole.
