Pete started his Zambian
hunting as a 5-year-old when he bagged his
first oribi in the Kafue areas of Zambia. At 18, the
only Zambian species he had not added to his hunting bag was elephant
and rhino due to the then worldwide ban. He is a licenced Zambian
Professional Hunter.
After university, he
worked for 10 years as a commodity trader in Zambia and Malawi, before pursuing a professional hunting career. After many years in the bush, Pete believes the true measure of a safari is the sheer enjoyment and thrill of hunting dangerous game and not by how many inches your trophy measures.
Pete and his wife, Julia Seal-Swanepoel
own and
manage safariBwana. Protecting the rights of hunters as well as
promoting conservation through managed hunting are Pete's two main
concerns. read
